GENERAL DESCRIPTION:The Bombay (BO) is a medium-sized cat, well-balanced,
friendly, alert, and outgoing.
The Bombay originated as a hybrid between the Burmese and the American Shorthair. However, it has distinctive features which separate it from its parent breeds. Created to resemble a "mini-panther", the Bombay is a medium-size cat, well-balanced, friendly, alert , and outgoing; muscular and deceptively heavy for its size. With its jet black, "patent leather" coat; "new copper penny" eyes; solid body and sweet, open facial expression, the ideal Bombay has an unmistakable look of its own.
KOP: Vorm: Medium in size.
Rounded, without flat planes.
Face to be full with considerable width between the eyes.
Profiel Visible stop.
Oren: Medium in size. Wide set,
but not flared. Slightly rounded tips.
Alert, tilting slightly forward.
Ogen Large, round, wide set, in
line with the base of the ear.
Color: Copper to gold--copper preferred.
Kin Firm, rounded.
Snuit Rounded, short, broad, well-developed.
Neus The end is slightly rounded down.
Nek Well-developed. Short to medium .
LICHAAM:

 Medium in size.
Somewhat compact.
Torso somewhat longer.
Rounded, ample chest.
Spieren Firmly muscled.
Surprising weight for its size.
Poten en voeten Sturdy, proportionate.
Feet: Rounded.
Bot-structuur Sturdy. Broad rib cage.
Staart Medium in length. Tapering to blunt tip.

Texture: Fine, satin-like, close-lying.
Allowance should be made for
kittens and younger cats up to 2

Dark to the roots.
Shimmering, patent leather sheen.

De beste plaats om je zoektocht te beginnen is een kattenvereniging,die kunnen je vertellen of er een Bombay cattery tussen hun leden zit.

ik wilde graag weten of er ergens in NL of niet te ver buiten ons land een fokker is van deze kattensoort??
